The European Union is
generally ahead of the North America in restricting toxic substances in
electronic products. Their latest restrictions, known as RoHS (Restriction
of Hazardous Substances), went into effect in July
2006.
The backdrop to the introduction of RoHS was one of increasing
environmental regulations worldwide and increasing concern for human health and
safety and ecosystems around the world. Hazardous
chemicals in products were fast becoming a health and environmental concern.
We are dedicated to
developing innovative design solutions that maximize the function and value
of our products while minimizing the impact on the environment. These
efforts include careful selection of materials to ensure product quality
while making it
easier for consumers to recycle materials at the end of a product's
functional life.
Azel Technologies is committed to
meeting the requirements of the European Union Directive on RoHS in our
products.The RoHS
directive restricts the presence of certain substances including lead,
hexavalent chromium, mercury, cadmium and two brominated flame retardants -
polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Through design choice and substitution, we've continually avoided or
eliminated the use of certain materials of concern in our products.
. DST
SERIES (DST-777S, DST-777D, DST-7772) DIGITAL SETPOINT TEMPERATURE
CONTROLS
DST-777 series controls
are microprocessor-based electronic one or two stage setpoint temperature
controls, designed to provide one or two on/off controls (Single-Pole
Double-Throw(SPDT) relay output) for residential/commercial heating, cooling,
air conditioning and refrigeration applications.
The DST-777 is equipped with a Dual Digital
display with backlit that provides a constant readout of the sensor temperature
and setpoint simultaneously as well as the other programmed settings. The front
buttons allow the user to easily and accurately select the set point
temperature, differential and heating/cooling mode of the operation. Unique
QuickSet feature allows instant setpoint adjustment without entering programming
mode. This reliable and versatile control has a very wide setpoint range, an
adjustable differential and time delay that makes it applicable in many
different applications. The single stage models have
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control logic to prevent overshoots and
undershoots in slow responding systems with large thermal mass such as pools or
slabs. A sensor probe P-01 is supplied with the control. This solid state
temperature sensor probe can be extended up to 500 feet.
APPLICATIONS:
The DST series can be used for a
wide variety of applications:
-
Slab thermostat for radiant floor heating
-
Tank Heating
-
Boiler control (used as a thermostat)
-
Space and return air temperature control
-
Condenser fan cycling
-
Milk coolers
-
Cooling tower pump control
-
Refrigerated warehouses
-
Chillers
-
Beer and beverage coolers
-
Refrigerated display cases
-
Walk-in and reach-in refrigerators
-
Other applications: research, science, laboratory,
education, aquarium, hydroponics, pools and more
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
The single stage models (DST-777S, DST-777D)
offer optimum control by means of a Pulse Width Modulation. The ON and OFF cycle
vary depending on the difference between the sensor and setpoint temperature.
The bigger difference between the sensor and setpoint temperature, the longer
the relay is switched ON. When the sensor temperature approaches the setpoint
temperature, the ON time become shorter and shorter. Pulse Width Modulation
guarantees precise control response. This function prevents overshoots and
undershoots in systems with large thermal mass (eg. slabs or pools).

The DST-932 differential
temperature controller is designed for the Solar Heating Systems. The
DST-932 switches on a pump in order to transfer heat from solar
collector to a storage tank. The controller reads the temperatures of
the storage tank (T1) and of the collector (T2), when this differential
temperature (T2-T1) is higher than a set value (dt), it will switch on
the pump. It is possible to limit the maximum temperature of the storage
tank and also activate a freeze protection function. By switching to
manual mode it allows the test of the heating system by turning the pump
ON or OFF. A universal sensor P-01 or P-02(higher temperature range) is
supplied with the control. This solid state temperature sensor probe can
be extended up to 500 feet.
DST-932 is
designed to handle most differential temperature control functions for
operation of solar heating, swimming pool heating, domestic water
heating, and sophisticated space heating and cooling etc.
FEATURES:

- Reliable Digital Electronic Accuracy
- LED indicates output relay status
- Easy-to-Read Digital Display which displays
sensor and functional status. It also allows precise differential
temperature settings
- Simple programming of differential setpoint
temperature and (hysteresis) differential. Setpoint can be adjusted
easily without going into programming mode.
- A tighter differential can be achieved (eg. 1F
or 1C) than conventional electromechanical controls
- Anti-Freeze protection
- Over Heat Protection
- Anti-Short Cycle Delay to ensure the output
relay remains off for up to 254 secs. This would avoid unnecessary
hard start and equipment wear
- User selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit
scales
- Lockout switch to prevent tempering by
unauthorized personnel
- Two universal sensors P-01/P-02 are
supplied with the control. This solid state temperature sensor probe
can be extended up to 500 feet.
